Hi, I'm Dr. Cortney Curtis

About Me
I’m a Veterinarian, educator, and business owner with a passion for serving both animals and the people who care for them.
I grew up in South Carolina, completed my bachelor’s degree at Clemson University, and earned my doctorate from LMU-CVM in 2020.
After serving four years as a Veterinarian in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Carson, CO, and Fort Gregg-Adams, VA, I received the Meritorious Service Medal for training military working dog handlers and civilian police K9 handlers in advanced canine tactical care. I was also awarded the Humanitarian Service Medal and the Armed Forces Service Medal for providing subsistence support to Afghan evacuees during Operation Allies Welcome.

I am currently an assistant professor of veterinary medicine at LMU-CVM, where I teach the One Health course to undergraduate programs. I also provide canine first aid training to local police departments, EMS/Fire personnel, and search and rescue teams.

In my free time, I play rugby with my wife, Saylor, and enjoy hiking with our dog, Roo.
